Publisher Program Terms

Participants in the Tagga publisher program (“Publisher Program”) are required to adhere to the following policies. We ask that you read these policies carefully and refer to the Terms of Use often. If you fail to comply with these policies, we may disable your Publisher Program account. While in many cases we prefer to work with publishers to achieve policy compliance, we reserve the right to disable any account at any time. If your account is disabled, you will not be eligible for further participation in the Publisher Program.

Please note that we may change our policies at any time, and pursuant to the Terms of Use, it is your responsibility to keep up to date with and adhere to the policies posted here.

Publisher Program Participation

Participation in the Publisher Program is subject to approval by Tagga. Tagga reserves the right to refuse applicants entry into the Publisher Program.

Invalid Clicks

Clicks on Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons must result from genuine user interest. Any method that artificially generates clicks on your Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons is strictly prohibited. These prohibited methods include, but are not limited to, repeated manual clicks, using robots, automated click generating tools, third-party services that generate clicks such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf and click-exchange programs, or any deceptive software (collectively, “Clicking”). Please note that Clicking on your own Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons for any reason is prohibited. Failure to comply with this policy may lead to your account being disabled.

Encouraging clicks

In order to ensure a good experience for users, publishers may not request that users click the Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons on their web sites or rely on deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks. Publishers participating in the Publisher Program:

  • may not encourage users to click the Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons by using phrases such as “click the ads,” “support us,” “visit these links,” or other similar language;
  • may not direct user attention to the Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons via arrows or other graphical gimmicks;
  • may not place misleading images alongside individual Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons;
  • may not promote sites displaying Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party web sites;
  • may not compensate users for viewing Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons or promise compensation to a third party for such behavior; or
  • may not place misleading labels above Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons - for instance, Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons may be labeled “Sponsored Links” but not “Favorite Sites”.

Site Content

Participants in the Publisher Program may only place Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons on sites that adhere to our content guidelines, and Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons must not be displayed on any page with content primarily in an unsupported language. Sites displaying Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons may not include:

  • violent content, racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organization;
  • pornography, adult, or similarly mature content;
  • hacking/cracking content;
  • illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia;
  • excessive profanity;
  • gambling or casino-related content;
  • content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking on Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons;
  • sales or promotion of weapons or ammunition (e.g., firearms, fighting knives, stun guns);
  • sales or promotion of beer or alcohol;
  • sales or promotion of tobacco or tobacco-related products;
  • sales or promotion of prescription drugs;
  • sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods;
  • sales or distribution of term papers or student essays; or
  • any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others.

Copyrighted Material

Publishers may not display Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons on web pages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content.

Site Behavior

Web sites showing Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons should be easy for users to navigate and should not contain excessive pop-ups. Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons may not be altered, nor may standard Tagga “Send to Mobile” button behavior be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Tagga. For example, and not by way of limitation:

  • Any Tagga “Send to Mobile” button code must be pasted directly into webpages without modification.
  • Publishers are not allowed to alter any portion of the code or change the behavior of Tagga “Send to Mobile” buttons.
  • No Tagga “Send to Mobile” button code may be integrated into a software application.
  • Webpages containing Tagga “Send to Mobile” button code may not be loaded by any software that can trigger pop-ups, redirect users to unwanted web sites, modify browser settings, or otherwise interfere with web site navigation.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that no ad network or affiliate uses such methods to direct traffic to pages that contain your Tagga “Send to Mobile” button code.

Payment

Payment will be made out to the owner of the Publisher Program account and mailed to the address given in the Publisher Program application. Payment will be made once per month and only to accounts owed $100USD or more. Payment will not be made to users owed Publisher Program revenue if the Publisher was deemed to have violated any of the Publisher Program or user account policies. Publishers receive a percentage of the revenue earned from ads sent in mobile messages initiated from the Publishers “Send to Mobile” buttons.
